Luong Nguyen presents at the Nordic AMR Conference

From 13-15 March 2024, the AMR Center Conference, hosted by the Center for New Antibacterial Strategies (CANS) was held  in Tromsø (Norway). This conference is primarily arranged for the members of the Nordic AMR Centers Network, which includes the Uppsala Antibiotic Centre (UAC), the Umeå Center for Microbial Research (UMCR), the Turning the Tide of Antimicrobial Resistance (TTA), the International Center for Antimicrobial Resistance Solutions (ICARS), the Multidisciplinary Center of Excellence in Antimicrobial Resistance Research, the Centre for Antimicrobial Resistance in Western Norway (CAMRIA), and the Center for Antibiotic Resistance Research (CARe), apart from CANS.

Our PhD student, Luong Nguyen, representing for UAC presented his recent published work on causal network of drivers of AMR. The work aims to call for more attentions on distal drivers of AMR among research community, those causal factors that are often linked with sustainable development challenges and can be targeted to reduced AMR. It helps to provide a more holistic view for natural and social scientists to together find solutions for the global challenge of AMR
